In shortProfessional contacts: why we have contacted you
A plain-English explanation for solicitors, accountants and other professional advisers who have received a business-to-business email from us.
A business-to-business introduction
You are receiving this notice because you are a solicitor, accountant or other professional adviser who has been contacted by Aetas Wealth about working together on matters where financial planning, tax and legal advice need to align, for example the pension inheritance tax changes due to take effect from 6 April 2027. This page explains why you were contacted and how your information is used. It is separate from the Privacy & Cookies Policy that applies to our advice clients.
Who we are and who controls your information
Aetas Wealth Limited is the data controller for this professional-contact programme. Aetas Wealth is the regulated financial-planning destination for individual and family clients, and operates as a trading style of Insight Financial Associates Limited, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority under registration number 458421.
You may notice that the first email in this programme was sent from an address on the aetas-partners.com domain. Aetas Partners is used only as the initial sending channel to introduce this programme to professional contacts. Using that sending address does not make Aetas Partners Limited the controller of your information. Aetas Wealth Limited remains the data controller throughout, and once you engage with us your details and any resulting correspondence are managed within the Aetas Wealth database.
The lawful basis we rely on
We rely on legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) of the UK GDPR to contact professional advisers about working together, on the basis that a professional introducer relationship is a reasonable and expected form of business-to-business contact. Legitimate interests is a lawful basis for processing personal data. It does not, by itself, permit unsolicited electronic marketing, which is governed separately by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). We apply the corporate-recipient boundary described below so that our lawful basis and our marketing practice work together correctly.
Who the programme contacts
This programme is directed at professional contacts at corporate bodies, such as solicitor and accountancy firms structured as limited companies or limited liability partnerships. Sole traders and unincorporated partnerships are treated as individual subscribers under PECR, and are excluded from this programme unless we hold valid consent or a valid soft opt-in for that contact.
What information we hold and where it came from
We hold your name, professional title, firm name and your publicly available business email address. This information comes from publicly available professional sources, such as firm websites and professional directories, rather than from a data list supplier.
What we do with it
We use your information to send you a short sequence of emails about working with Aetas Wealth, of no more than four emails over approximately six weeks. We do not currently track whether these emails are opened. If you reply or otherwise engage with us, your information and the resulting correspondence move into the Aetas Wealth database and are handled under our main Privacy & Cookies Policy from that point on.
How to stop hearing from us
You can opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by replying to let us know. We aim to remove you from active marketing within two working days of your request, and we keep a minimum record of your email address on a suppression list afterwards, so that we do not contact you again by mistake.
How long we keep it
If you do not respond, we remove your details from this programme within twelve months of the final email in the sequence. Where you have opted out, the suppression record described above is kept for as long as needed to honour that opt-out.
Your rights
You have rights under data protection law, including the right to object to our use of your information for direct marketing at any time, and the right to access, correct or ask us to delete information we hold about you. To exercise these rights, or to ask a question about how your information is handled, contact us at dataprotection@aetas-wealth.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if you are unhappy with how we have handled your information.
If you would like to know more about how we work with professional introducers generally, see our page for professional introducers.
